Boys and their families are invited to build their very own derby car and put it to the racing test against other Royal Ranger boys. Boys with the winning cars in their division will receive trophies! The event is open to anyone who would like to build and race! 

1. Purchase the official Wooden Derby Car Kit for $15 or the official Lego Derby Car Kit for $20 in the Royal Ranger Office (Room G205).

2. Design and build your car! If you need help, come to the Warehouse Workdays held on the three Saturday mornings leading up to the event. These will be held at the church warehouse on Anderson Ct. in Oak Creek.

3. Turn in your completed Derby Car for the officials on the weigh-in date. It is up to you to ensure your car is fast and under weight. Download the spec sheet at the bottom of the page for details.

4. Show up at the event and watch your car win all the prizes! Family and friends are welcome.

Boys and their families can use the Warehouse (1155 W Anderson Ct, Oak Creek, WI // OCAG Door) to use tools to build and design their car. The Warehouse has ALL of the tools you will need to build a successful car including weights and axel graphite (e.g. drill presses, scroll saws, paint). There is also a scale to weigh your car and a measurement standard to confirm your car meets race specifications. Lastly, there are experienced leaders who can help you build your car.
