Information and Instructions
General Info
- The same audition scene will be used to audition ALL speaking actor roles.
- Please read either the MARCUS or LEAH character for your audition scene, even if you are auditioning for a female role (the lines are not gender-specific; we are looking for energy, character and personality!)
- Although this show will be a stage show, it will also be filmed and projected on large screens, so present your character in a more subtle, grounded style - closer to film.
- We want to get away from “caricatures” or “archetype” style performances.
- Wear a simple, solid-colored shirt for your audition; no stripes, patterns, red/black/white shirts…they are distracting for camera.
- Auditions will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so submit early!
Video Audition Info
- Please submit your best ONE take of the audition scene.
- Film your audition in a horizontal frame (phones sideways).
- Frame your audition video from chest to top of head.
- At the beginning of your video, please state your name and which character you are reading from the scene - this is a quick way to show a bit of your personality.
- Please have a family member or friend read the other character’s lines in your scene.
- Your reader should NOT be in the frame with you. Have your reader stand behind the camera/phone so you can connect with them.
- Please submit your audition tape file at the link below. If you can, please name your video in the following format: FOM - Your Name
